(American)

Cobb began carving at the age of eleven. He entered his first decoy show I 1975, a competition that won him several ribbons which motivated the artist to continue competing. In the following years, Dan Cobb became a blue ribbon winner in both the World and National decoy competitions, as well as being named the Best New Jersey Carver in 1985. He also won the Decoy Competition at the Garden State Pairs Competition for three consecutive years. Cobb specializes in backyard full-size poses of ducks and geese. He has become a sought-after famous carver and painter of life size decoys and he is ranked as one of the finest American carvers alive because his detailing and accurate anatomies are painted with the artist's sensitive, accurate color blendings that resemble perfectly a fowl's feathers.

Daniel Cobb's keen eye and steady hand have produced some of the best decorative decoy carvings in the profession and he is highly decorated for his skills.
